Creegonquin is a community-focused security and K9 detection service proudly serving the James Bay and Northern Ontario region. Our team brings years of combined experience in law enforcement, security, emergency response, and community safety planning.

Our strength comes from a team that combines professional expertise with genuine community connection. Every member brings lived experience in northern Ontario and a shared commitment to community safety and well-being.
Betty Crawford
Owner — Member of Attawapiskat First Nation. Focused on community safety and strengthening relationships between organizations and local leadership.
Randy Pesendiwatch (Cota)
Co-Owner & K9 Handler — Retired OPP Sergeant with 30+ years in drug enforcement and community policing across Northern Ontario.
Our K9 Team
Meet K9 Team- Radar & Ace
Our certified detection dogs are the heart of our K9 program — professionally trained, calm around the public, and highly effective in the field.
Radar — Belgian Malinois
Trained and certified in Canada and the United States to detect multiple narcotics. Radar is highly skilled at locating drug scents while remaining calm and safe around the public and during youth demonstrations.
Ace — German Shepard
Specializing in vehicle and facility searches for drugs and alcohol. Ace plays a key role in helping communities and organizations maintain safe, drug-free environments.

Who We're Looking For
Licensed Security Guards (Ontario licence required), strong communication and observation skills, reliable and respectful, comfortable in remote or Northern communities.
Our Approach
Observe and report. Communicate clearly. De-escalate when possible. Act with professionalism and respect. We focus on presence and prevention, not confrontation.
Requirements
Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence, First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain), ability to pass a background check.
